| What is NLP |
|
NLP was initially created by linguist Dr John Grinder and computer scientist and Gestalt therapist Dr Richard Bandler. Together they produced a model that identified the language patterns of a few exceptionally gifted individuals such as hypnotherapist Milton Erickson, Fritz Perls of Gestalt therapy and anthropologist Gregory Bateson. The collection of their findings, a blend of cognitive and behavioural science, resulted in the technology known as Neuro Linguistic Programming. NLP, or neurolinguistic programming is a specific set of strategies that help you to become excellent in whatever area you want to change. We all have the capacity to change and succeed. This form of therapy and coaching explores your unconscious mind. It looks at how you think, communicate and change. Unlike traditional counselling and therapy, you are likely to gain profound changes easily, effortlessly and quickly. There is very little time spent wallowing in the past although there may be times when the root of what is causing you a problem will be indentified from your past. Fundementally, the strategies within NLP are designed to help you experience the 'YOU CAN DO IT' attitude so that you are immediately able to overcome any obstacles and move forward with ease.
