Coconut oil is an amazing fat that breaks all the rules!!

- Whilst it is a saturated fat, it contains what are called medium chain triglycerides which speed up weight loss by increasing your metabolism.

- Coconut oil is the main source of dietary fat in Sri Lanka which has the lowest death rate from heart disease.

- Studies have also shown that people in tropical countries who consume coconut oil have a mild form of hyperthyroidism. Their metabolism is increased and they enjoy leaner bodies and higher energy levels.

- Coconut oil contains lauric acid which has an adverse on a variety of microorganisms including bacteria, yeast, fungi, and some viruses

Coconut oil has also been reported to be great for:

• Digestive problems
• Increasing your energy levels
• Reducing the furring of the arteries
• Constipation

Coconut oil is also the only oil worth cooking with. As a saturated fat, its structure won’t change when you cook with it, so all the above qualities remain unlike other oils such as olive oil. Great stuff!!

I'll usually have a couple of teaspoons every single day, usually in my chocolate sauce.
